Elgato Video Capture
Video Capture pulls video off analog sources, VCRs, camcorders, and DVRs, over composite RCA or S-Video (a SCART adapter is included) and converts it to an H.264 file playable on Mac or PC. It automatically detects NTSC, SECAM, PAL, and PAL/60 formats, so it works with tape sources from outside the US without a manual format switch.
Output runs at 640x480 (4:3) or 640x360 (16:9), encoded as H.264 at 1.4 Mbit/sec (or MPEG-4 at 2.4 Mbit/sec on Mac) with AAC audio at 128 kbit/sec, 48kHz. Finished files sync to an iPad, iPhone, or Apple TV without re-encoding, and the unit connects over USB 2.0.
