EAW RSX208L Powered Line Array Module
The RSX208L is a self-powered line array module from EAW's RSX series. Two 8-inch cone drivers on 2-inch voice coils cover low and low-mid duty while a pair of 1-inch exit compression drivers with 1.4-inch voice coils handle the top, all driven by three 500-watt amplifier channels in a tri-amped configuration. The 12-degree vertical and 120-degree horizontal pattern is what makes it an array element rather than a point source: modules stack to build the vertical coverage a room needs.
Processing runs externally through EAW Resolution with the Focusing and DynO algorithms, so an array is tuned as a whole rather than box by box. Connections cover powerCON AC mains with a loop through, two Neutrik etherCON ports and an RJ-45 for the control network, and an XLR input with loop. Response reaches 70 Hz and maximum SPL is 131 dB, in a cabinet 9.8 inches tall, 25.2 wide, and 13.1 deep at 40.5 pounds.
