EAW JF80z 100 x 100 Degree Two-Way Compact Full-Range Loudspeaker, Black
The JF80z is the JF60z with a second 6.5 inch cone and a real compression driver: a 1 inch exit, 1.75 inch voice coil unit on a waveguide plate, still passively crossed and still driven from one amplifier channel behind an EAW high-pass filter. The extra cone and the horn-loaded top end move the box out of fill duty and into main-system work for a band PA, a lecture hall or a smaller house of worship, without a wider footprint than the room will tolerate.
It runs 85 Hz to 20 kHz at 90 dB sensitivity into a nominal 8 ohms, and the calculated axial output limit is 117 dB average and 123 dB peak, six decibels ahead of the JF60z in both figures. The pattern stays 100 degrees in both planes and the waveguide rotates for a horizontal or vertical hang. Cabinet is Baltic birch plywood in wear-resistant textured black paint behind a powder-coated perforated steel grille with foam backing, and mounting points on the top, bottom and sides take eyebolts, U-brackets, yoke brackets or an OmniMount 60.0 series plate. Six year warranty.
