DPA Microphones DPA MMC4011 Cardioid Pencil Microphone Capsule
The MMC4011 is the cardioid capsule from the 4011A, a mic that gets used on everything from a drum overhead to a solo violin because its off-axis response stays usable rather than turning hollow. Rejection at the rear is real, and the pattern holds its shape across the band.
As a capsule it is half a microphone: fit it to an MMP-A or MMP-C preamp for a conventional XLR pencil mic, or to an MMP-E or MMP-G active cable when the mic has to hang or sit inside a piano lid. Figures below are for the capsule measured as a complete 4011A.
