The MMC4015 sits between the omni and the cardioid: a wide cardioid that keeps most of the openness of a pressure capsule while still turning its back on the room behind it. It is the capsule people reach for on a spaced pair where a true omni picks up too much hall and a cardioid sounds too closed in.

Supplied as a capsule for the modular d:dicate system. Combined with an MMP-A it measures as a 4015A; combined with the compact MMP-C it becomes a short mic that fits under a piano lid or in a tight orchestral position.
