The CM2218B90 is a MicroLock extension cable, adding 1.8 m (5.9 ft) of reach between a miniature DPA capsule and its bodypack or preamp when the stock cable will not make the run. It uses DPA's proprietary MicroLock connector at 2.2 mm diameter, matching the thin, low-profile cabling DPA runs from its lavalier and headset lines.

It is finished in black to disappear against clothing and hair, and it is a simple in-line extension rather than an adapter, so it does not change the wiring at either end.
