Dell AC511 Soundbar

The AC511 is a stereo soundbar built to hang off the bottom bezel of a Dell monitor instead of taking up desk space. Two T-hooks drop into the soundbar slots on the underside of the panel, and a single USB cable to the computer carries both the power and the digital audio, so there is no wall wart and no sound-card cable to route. Output is 2 x 1.25 W, enough for conference audio, alerts, and casual playback at a desk without a separate 2.1 system underfoot.

A knob on the right end sets volume directly and doubles as the power LED. The left end carries a 3.5 mm aux-in jack for a phone or media player and a headphone jack for private listening. It draws 5 V over USB, runs on Windows 7 and Windows 8, and is WHQL-certified. It fits Dell E, P, and U series monitors with the soundbar slot, including the E1914H, E2014H, E2214H, E2314H, E2414H, P1914S, P2014H, P2214H, P2314H, P2414H, P2714H, U2414H, UP2414HQ, and U3214HQ. Ships with the soundbar, a USB extension cable, and the setup and regulatory documentation, and carries a 1-year limited hardware warranty.
