Datavideo VP-597 Distribution Amplifier
The VP-597 is a 2x6 3G/HD/SD-SDI distribution amplifier that takes two SDI sources and fans the selected one out to six re-clocked outputs. Each output is re-clocked and equalized so the signal holds up over long cable runs, and embedded audio rides along untouched, which makes it the simple, reliable way to drive a wall of monitors, several recorders, or multiple downstream devices from one feed.
The two inputs let it double as a basic A/B source switch: choose between the primary and a backup feed from the front-panel button or remotely through the GPI interface, so a live event can cut to a redundant source without a full switcher in the path. It handles the common broadcast formats from 525i/625i up through 1080p 60.
