Crestron Ultimate IGS12T 12 in. In-Ground Subwoofer
Outdoor audio usually gives up on bass. The IGS12T does not: a 12 in. polypropylene woofer in a rugged poly composite PVC enclosure is buried in the garden bed, with only a dome-shaped port cap showing above ground. Response reaches 23 Hz at 3 dB, and the crossover point sits at 150 Hz so it fills in under satellite speakers on the same run.
It can be driven low impedance at 8 ohms nominal or on a constant voltage line, with transformer taps at 150 W on 70 V and 300 W on 100 V. Power handling is 200 W program and 400 W peak at 86 dB sensitivity. Connection is a 44 in. attached direct-burial speaker wire with a pair of silicone-filled waterproof wire nuts included, and the whole unit is IPX6 waterproof. It weighs 78.15 lb, so plan the hole and the drainage before the delivery arrives.
