Crestron HZ2-DIMUEX Horizon 2 In-Wall Universal Phase Dimmer

The HZ2-DIMUEX is the universal phase member of the Horizon 2 in-wall dimmer line. It dims LED, incandescent, magnetic low voltage and electronic low voltage loads to 600 W/VA with no minimum load, and auto-load detection picks reverse or forward phase for whatever is actually wired to it. That matters on a retrofit: change the fixtures years later and the dimmer re-detects rather than needing a different model. Minimum and maximum light levels are adjustable, the dimming curve can be set linear, logarithmic or custom, and over-current protection is built in. Line, load, neutral and remote land on color-coded screw clamp terminals that take 14-12 AWG, and an air-gap switch at the bottom of the device cuts power to the dimmer and its load.

The face is a keypad rather than a paddle. Nine push buttons sit under a Style 1 through Style 6 button assembly, with five RGB backlights on a local color theme, white backlighting adjustable from 2000K to 8000K, and an ambient light sensor that swaps day and night backlight modes. Standard models ship with default rocker engraving; ENGRAVED models ship with your own laser-etched legends on the button style you specify. infiNET EX gives roughly 150 ft indoors to the nearest mesh device and needs a Crestron wireless gateway; HZ2-AUX and HZ2-KPEX remotes wire to the traveler for three- and four-way circuits. Local button control works without any programming, and the dimmer is fully programmable from a Crestron control system or Crestron Home OS. Faceplates are the HZ2-FP-G series and are sold separately.
