Crestron CLCI-MCEX-W In-Ceiling Motor Controller, 230VAC

The CLCI-MCEX-W drives a single bidirectional 230V motor: window shutters, shades, projection screens, lifts and similar equipment. The channel is two interlocking switched outputs, one for raise or open and one for lower or close, so the controller cannot energise both directions at once. It is rated 2.5 A full load and 15 A locked rotor for loads with a power factor of 0.50 or better.

Its slim body installs in the ceiling next to the motor and wires inline with no special cabling. A 230V SPST normally-open momentary or maintained contact on the R terminal keeps a conventional wall switch working, and setup runs from that switch or the on-board button, which also drives a local test. Line, neutral and earth terminals are duplicated and internally paralleled so several controllers daisy-chain from one feed. Each terminal accepts a single 1 to 2.5 mm2 (18-14 AWG) conductor. infiNET EX is a 2-way 2.4 GHz mesh on IEEE 802.15.4 channels 11 to 26, in which each device relays for the others, so coverage improves as the system grows rather than degrading. A Crestron wireless gateway is required and sold separately; range is about 46 m indoors to the gateway.
