A ceiling fan with a light is two loads on one drop, which is why it usually ends up outside the control system. The CLC-FANDELVEX-W fits inside the fan canopy and takes both: reverse-phase dimming across the full range for the incandescent or electronic low-voltage light at 120 VAC up to 200 Watts, and motor control for the fan at 120 VAC up to 0.8 Amps with three programmable speed settings plus off. Minimum load is 10 Watts, and CFL or LED lighting loads are capped at 100 Watts.

It wires in with flying 14 AWG leads, black for hot, white for neutral in and out, blue for the lighting load and red for the fan motor, so a retrofit is a canopy job rather than a rewire. Green LEDs report the light and fan load states and a green and red status LED shows power and error conditions, with an acquire pushbutton for joining the network. infiNET EX is a 2-way 2.4 GHz mesh on IEEE 802.15.4 channels 11 to 26, in which each device relays for the others, so coverage improves as the system grows rather than degrading. An infiNET EX gateway is required and is sold separately.
