Crestron CHV-THSTAT-PIR-10 Heating/Cooling Thermostat with Occupancy Sensor

The CHV-THSTAT-PIR-10 covers the range of plant a hotel or apartment block actually contains: conventional two-stage heat and cool, two-stage heat pump with auxiliary heat, dual-fuel heat pump, 2-pipe and 4-pipe fan coil units, and humidity control. Heating, cooling and fan speed can be driven either as 0-10V modulating signals or as relay contacts rated 1 A at 40 VDC or 24 VAC, so the same thermostat suits a variable valve or a simple contactor.

A passive infrared sensor in the front panel is what makes it a hospitality thermostat rather than a residential one: up to four setpoints can be designated against occupancy and room booking status, so an empty room drifts to a wider band instead of being conditioned for nobody. The backlit LCD shows setpoint, mode, fan setting and, optionally, the current room temperature, with large backlit buttons for temperature, mode, fan speed and the Fahrenheit/Celsius scale. An external temperature or humidity sensor input takes an extra, alternative or auto-changeover sensor. It works standalone or joins a control system over Cresnet, and can be powered entirely from Cresnet 24VDC by jumpering 24/G to the HVAC 24R/24C connections. Available in white textured and black textured.
