Canon XA65 Professional Camcorder

The Canon XA65 is the SDI-equipped member of Canon's compact professional camcorder family, built around the same 1/2.3-inch type CMOS sensor and DIGIC DV6 processor as the XA60 and delivering the same oversampled HD and 4K UHD image. Its 20x optical zoom lens covers a wide 29.3-601mm equivalent range with Advanced Hybrid AF, making it well suited to broadcast news, live events, and any production where a small camera still has to plug into professional infrastructure.

What sets the XA65 apart is a 3G-SDI output alongside its HDMI terminal, giving a locked, long-run connection to switchers, monitors, and broadcast gear that HDMI alone cannot provide. Recording is available in XF-AVC or MP4 to dual SD card slots, and dual XLR inputs handle professional microphones with phantom power.
