The Canon BP-828 is a 2670 mAh lithium-ion pack, the high-capacity battery for Canon's professional XA and XF camcorder families. Its extra capacity stretches recording time for long events and interviews where swapping batteries mid-take is not an option.

It works with the same bodies as the standard BP-820, including the XF405 and XF400 and the XA75 through XA10 camcorders, and reports charge status through the intelligent battery system. Canon part number 8598B002.
