The Canon BP-820 is a 1780 mAh lithium-ion pack, the standard-capacity battery for Canon's professional XA and XF camcorder families. It works with the intelligent battery system, so remaining charge and estimated runtime display in the camera.

It powers a broad range of bodies including the XF405 and XF400 and the XA75 through XA10 handheld camcorders, making it an easy spare to keep in the bag. The higher-capacity BP-828 shares the same mount for longer runtimes. Canon part number 8597B002.
