Canon RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM Lens
The RF100-400mm F5.6-8 IS USM is a light, affordable telephoto zoom that puts a 400mm reach in a lens small enough to carry all day. It is aimed at EOS R shooters chasing wildlife, sports, and aviation who want long range without the bulk and cost of an L-series super-telephoto. A 12-element formula with one aspherical and one UD element controls distortion and color fringing, and a 9-blade circular aperture keeps distant backgrounds smooth.
Optical image stabilization gives up to 5.5 stops of correction, rising to 6 stops on the EOS R5 and R6, and Canon's Nano USM drives fast, quiet autofocus that suits both stills and video. It focuses as close as 0.88 m for a 0.41x magnification, useful for large insects and small subjects at range. At roughly 635 g and using inexpensive 67mm filters, it is an easy second lens to keep in the bag. It ships with the E-67II cap and RF dust cap. Canon part number 5050C002.
