Canon AD-E1 Multi-Function Shoe Adapter

The Canon AD-E1 is a Multi-Function Shoe adapter that adds a conventional accessory mount on top of the multi-function shoe found on recent EOS cameras. It gives you a standard cold-shoe interface so shotgun microphones, on-camera LED panels, and older Speedlite-era accessories seat securely on a body built around the newer shoe.

Dual locking pins on the multi-function foot hold the adapter in place, and the connection is dust and drip resistant so it holds up in the field. It is a simple mechanical bridge with no cabling to manage, letting you keep using accessories you already own. Canon part number 4943C001.
