Blackmagic Streaming Decoder 4K
The Streaming Decoder 4K is the receive-end partner to Blackmagic's Streaming Encoder 4K: it takes an H.264 or H.265 stream from an encoder, an ATEM switcher, or a Blackmagic camera and converts it back to SDI and HDMI video for a monitor, switcher or recorder at the far end. A 12G-SDI reference input lets a facility feed tally, camera control and talkback data back upstream to the encoder, so a point-to-point link can carry more than just picture and sound.
Housed in the same compact third-rack-width, 1U chassis as the encoder, it outputs HDMI 2.0 with 8 channels of embedded audio, includes a USB-C UVC webcam output for piping a received stream straight into conferencing software, and works with Blackmagic Cloud for internet-based remote production links without dedicated circuits.
