Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K

The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is a handheld 6K digital film camera built around a 6048 x 4032 full frame HDR sensor, roughly three times the area of a Super 35 chip. That large sensor gives you shallow depth of field and lets you shoot anamorphic lenses uncropped for a true cinematic look. It carries 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO of 400 and 3200 extending to 25,600, so it holds detail in highlights and shadows and stays clean in low light. An optical low pass filter tames moire and aliasing for cleaner detail.

The camera uses an L-Mount with a large 51.6mm diameter for full frame and vintage glass from Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma. It records 12-bit Blackmagic RAW for a full-latitude negative plus real time H.264 proxies for fast editing, capturing to CFexpress cards or directly to USB-C disks.
