Azden SMX-100 Stereo Shotgun Microphone (Demo)

This is the Azden SMX-100 offered as a demo unit at a reduced price. The microphone itself is unchanged: a phantom-powered condenser shotgun with an M-S (mid-side) capsule that records a forward mono channel plus a sideways figure-of-eight and decodes to a stereo image which folds back to mono without phase cancellation. It covers 20 Hz to 18,000 Hz, handles 120 dB SPL, and posts a 70 dB signal-to-noise ratio.

It terminates in a hard-wired 5-pin XLR, the stereo microphone input on the JVC GY-HC900 series, so one lead carries both channels into the camera with no adapter and no external mixer. Phantom power of 11 to 52V DC runs it from the camera or a field recorder. The demo unit ships with the same shock-mount microphone holder, high-density foam windscreen, and custom carry case as a new one. Call 201-791-1400 if you want the exact condition of the unit in stock before you order.
