Aviom AN-16/o v.4 Output Module

The AN-16/o v.4 takes a Pro16 A-Net stream off one Cat-5e cable and puts sixteen analog channels back out at the far end. Each channel pair has its own front-panel four-position level switch, so the same box feeds a +4 dBu console return, a +24 dBu amplifier input, or a mic-level destination without an outboard pad. Output impedance is 430 ohms and the module accepts up to +22 dBu before clipping.

It is the receive end of an Aviom digital snake: with an AN-16/i or AN-16/i-M input module at the source and the optional SB4 System Bridge, the pair builds networks of up to sixty-four channels over Cat-5e. The chassis is a 1U steel rack unit, 9 inches deep, finished in blue so it is not mistaken for the black input module in a dark rack.
