Aviom16/o-Y1 A-Net Card for Yamaha Consoles
The Aviom16/o-Y1 drops into a Yamaha mini-YGDAI expansion slot and gives the console a direct digital handoff to Pro16 personal mixers. Sixteen channels are assigned in the console and leave on one EtherCon RJ45, which removes the analog input module, its rack space, and the extra A/D conversion from the monitor path entirely. On a PM1D the card carries eight channels.
Ten DIP switches on the card set stereo linking and A-Net mode, so channel pairing is decided at install time rather than in software. It draws its power from the host mixer, so there is nothing else to rack or plug in, and it supports unshielded Cat-5e runs of up to 500 feet between devices. Latency through the card is under 0.880 milliseconds. How many you can fit is set by the number of free MY slots in the console.
