Autocue P7010-0901 17-inch Explorer Teleprompter

The 17-inch Explorer is the size most studios settle on: a reading range of roughly 6m / 20ft, which covers a normal floor, without the bulk of a 19-inch head in a modest space. The whole system is built from few parts that slot together and adjust without tools, and the mounting kit adapts to camcorders, digital cine bodies and mirrorless cameras without a shopping list of adapters. Complete system weight is 9.2 kg.

The 400-nit monitor sits in a metal housing with HDMI, VGA and CVBS inputs on the side, and a 10m HDMI cable is in the box so a laptop can drive it straight away. The medium composite hood carries Autocue 70:30 beamsplitter glass, which shows the script clearly to the presenter and stays invisible to the lens. A one-year Explorer Software licence ships with the prompter, so it is ready to run out of the case. The optional P7018-1850 case protects it in transit.
