Audix OM7 Dynamic Vocal Microphone
The OM7 is a hypercardioid dynamic built for extreme stage volume. It is deliberately voiced with a low output level - roughly 8 to 10 dB below a typical dynamic - which lets the engineer run much more preamp gain before the system feeds back. Singers who work in loud metal, rock, and worship settings use it precisely because it rejects the wall of sound behind them.
That low sensitivity means it wants a close working distance and a healthy preamp, and in return it delivers a clean, controlled vocal with excellent isolation. VLM diaphragm construction keeps the response fast and natural, the e-coat body takes abuse, and no phantom power is required. A specialist tool for the hardest feedback situations.
