Its patented dual-layer Varimotion diaphragm moves freely for an unusually crisp, clean tone, while the laminated diaphragm material damps high resonance peaks that otherwise cause harshness.

A tight supercardioid pattern gives high gain before feedback, and a mechano-pneumatic capsule suspension plus an integrated high-pass filter keep handling noise down.
