AJA FiDO-T-ST 3G-SDI to Single-Mode ST Fiber Transmitter

The FiDO-T-ST is the sending half of an AJA fiber link, taking a 3G-SDI signal and launching it onto single-mode fiber for runs a copper cable could never manage. It uses a simplex ST fiber connector and carries 3G/HD/SD video up to 10 km, automatically selecting between 3 Gb, 1.5 Gb, and 270 Mb formats and giving the electrical isolation that fiber provides between buildings and gear. A greater than 15 dB return loss across 270 Mb to 3 Gb keeps reflections down for a stable picture.

A looping 3G-SDI output lets you tap the input signal locally, for a nearby monitor or a second device, while the fiber output heads to a distant FiDO receiver. The unit sips about 1.5 watts, ships with the DWP-U-R1 universal 5-20 VDC power supply, and is built to work indoors or out. AJA backs it with a five-year warranty.
