Whirlwind PressPower 3 Active Press Box

The PressPower 3 is the full-featured successor to the original PressPower and PressPower 2, which between them became the standard for press conferences worldwide. It is an active press box: it takes the podium feed and distributes it to a room full of recorders and cameras with gain rather than just splitting it away.

Whirlwind publishes battery life against draw for it, which is the number that matters at a press call with no mains nearby: about 15 hours with the LED meter off and no headphones connected at 40 mA, about 9 hours with the meter in dot mode at 73 mA, about 10 hours with 30 ohm headphones at 60 mA, and about 5 hours with both at 94 mA. The NC version is the alternative build. A matching case and rack are available.
