Whirlwind podDI Summing Direct Box
The podDI takes a stereo consumer source and hands the console one balanced mono channel. Signal goes in on a 3.5 mm stereo jack or colour coded RCA phono jacks, and an unused input can be used as a loop through. Output is a balanced male XLR.
Each input has its own variable attenuator, so it doubles as a small passive mixer in split track work where the voice track and the music track need to be balanced against each other before they are summed. A ground lift switch is fitted for hum and buzz.
