Whirlwind PB Series Passive Press Box Line Input to 6, 12 or 24 Transformer Isolated Mic Level Outputs

The PB Series press boxes distribute one line level input to a bank of mic level outputs, each one transformer isolated so a journalist plugging in badly cannot upset the rest of the room. Whirlwind TRSP-2F transformers are used throughout and the interchannel isolation is high: 65 dB between vertically adjacent channel pairs and 107 dB between non-adjacent pairs.

The boxes are built from rugged cold rolled steel and come with 6, 12 or 24 outputs. Note that these are passive: a line level signal must be fed in, because a microphone straight into the input will not provide enough level to work properly. Dimensions including the handle are 6.75 x 5.5 x 2.0 in. for the PB06, 11.0 x 5.5 x 2.0 in. for the PB12 and 9.5 x 11.25 x 2.0 in. for the PB24.
