Whirlwind LM2C Camera Mic Adapter
The LM2C connects professional dynamic microphones or line level sources to the unbalanced stereo mic level input on a video camera or a laptop. Audio transformers isolate the camera or computer from whatever is feeding it, which is usually where the hum in a run-and-gun setup was coming from.
Left and right inputs are combination female XLR and 1/4 inch TRS balanced jacks, so unbalanced TS plugs drop straight in and RCA sources work through adapters. There is also a 3.5 mm input that sums left and right and applies the result to the right input only. Each channel has a volume control and a mic/line switch, a stereo/mono switch sums the two inputs to both sides of the output, and a ground lift switch is fitted. The 3.5 mm output carries unbalanced stereo with left on tip and right on ring. A belt clip is attached and can be removed for desktop use.
