Whirlwind DIRECTOR Direct Box

The DIRECTOR is the step up from the IMP 2. It handles unbalanced line, instrument or speaker level signals and drops them to low impedance balanced mic level through the shielded TRHL-M transformer, so you can take a feed straight off an amplifier output without cooking the console input.

A 30 dB pad switch selects between line or instrument level and speaker level, and a switchable high cut filter takes the edge off amplifier noise. Parallel wired 1/4 inch in and out jacks let the instrument keep its own amp, and the ground lift switch is there for the buzz you did not plan for.
