Universal Audio 6176 Vintage Channel Strip
The 6176 is the two halves of a Universal Audio front end in one 2U box: the all-tube 610 mic preamp derived from the Bill Putnam modular console, and the Class A 1176LN FET compressor. A Split / Join switch runs them in series as a channel strip or splits them so each can be patched independently.
The preamp gives up to 65 dB of gain with selectable 500 ohm or 2k input impedance, high and low shelving EQ, and mic, balanced line and Hi-Z inputs. Signal-to-noise is better than 90 dB at maximum gain, and two units interconnect for stereo through the 1176-SA. Hand-built in the USA with a one-year limited warranty.
