Tightrope Cablecast CBL-CCTRANSLATE-1000 Caption Translation Service

The Cablecast Closed Caption Translation service takes captions a station already produces and renders them in additional languages, and this SKU is a prepaid 1000 hour block of that service. It works on both live streams and recorded video files, covering broadcast output as well as web, mobile, and OTT delivery, so a bilingual community can follow the same public meetings that an English-only channel would leave inaccessible.

For broadcast captions the service translates among English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, and Dutch. For on-demand captioning of video files that pass through to web, mobile, and OTT, 72 languages are supported. It requires the Cablecast Closed Captioning service to be enabled, runs on Cablecast software version 7.7 or higher, and can also translate non-Cablecast sidecar caption files. Translation runs on Cablecast VIO and is not available on FLEX or SX video servers.
