Cablecast MediaScribe Narrate Automated Audio Description Subscription
MediaScribe Narrate builds a second audio track that describes what is happening on screen for blind and low-vision viewers. Upload a video in any format and the service transcribes the dialogue, finds every gap of three seconds or more where a description can sit without talking over anyone, and reads the picture for the things that carry meaning: who is speaking, what is on a slide, a change of scene. Descriptions are written to those gaps, voiced with neural text-to-speech at a natural reading pace, and handed back with a waveform timeline editor so an operator can review and adjust each line.
Timing is handled in two passes, so a description shortens rather than overruns when the gap is tight, and the essential information survives. Background audio ducks under safety-critical announcements, and speaker identification plus sentence detection keep the placement accurate through a fast-moving meeting. The finished track ships as a selectable option, SAP on the television and a toggle in web, app and OTT players, which is what WCAG 2.1 AA and the ADA Title II rules taking effect 26 April 2027 ask for. Turnaround is measured in hours, not the weeks a human narrator needs.
