Tightrope Cablecast CBL-CAPTIONING-500 Closed Captioning Service

The Cablecast Closed Captioning Service adds automatic speech-to-text captions to a station's programming, and this SKU is a prepaid 500 hour block of that service. It handles live captioning of meetings and events as they air, and on-demand captioning of recorded video files in the Cablecast library, which lets a smaller government or education channel meet accessibility requirements without committing to the larger 1000 hour tier.

The service runs on Cablecast VIO and FLEX video servers as well as VIO Stream, and captions flow through the same Cablecast schedule and web interface used to manage programming. Stations can load custom vocabularies, such as local place names, board member names, and agency acronyms, so the engine transcribes the terms specific to their meetings more accurately. Hours draw down from the block as content is captioned.
