Tentacle TIMEBAR Multipurpose Timecode Display
The TIMEBAR is a high-contrast OLED strip built to be read across a stage. Its alphanumeric character design and wide viewing angle are the point: the display stays legible at an angle and under set lighting, which is where most timecode readouts fail. It is a generator in its own right, with timecode in and out on a 3.5 mm jack, and it doubles as a timer and stopwatch for rehearsal and run-of-show work.
A 2200 mAh lithium polymer battery gives 6 hours at full brightness and up to 80 hours turned down, charging in 4 to 5 hours or 2 hours on fast charge over USB-C, which also handles firmware. Bluetooth 5.2 Low Energy connects it to the Tentacle Setup app for remote control. Both the battery and the OLED panel are user replaceable. The TB1-SL version is the TIMEBAR supplied as a timecode slate for camera-front use.
