Telex BOP-220 Breakout Panel Passive I/O Breakout / Connector Translation Panel
The BOP-220 is the breakout panel that makes a SAP-1626 source assignment panel easy to wire in the field. It is a passive connector-translation assembly with no electronics: it converts the two 50-pin (25-pair) connectors coming off the SAP-1626 into twenty individual XLR user-station connectors, so every station or string of stations plugs in with a familiar mic cable instead of a multi-pin fan-out.
Built as a 3 RU panel for a standard 19-inch rack, the BOP-220 carries twenty 3-pin XLR male user-station connectors plus a pair of parallel connectors that tie back to the SAP-1626. Because it is entirely passive it needs no power and adds nothing to the signal path, keeping a large intercom install clean and serviceable.
