Sony UBP-X700U 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player

The UBP-X700U plays 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs with HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and upscales regular Blu-ray and DVD to 4K at 60p. Support for the BT.2020 colour space means the wider gamut on UHD discs reaches a compatible display, and 24p True Cinema keeps film cadence intact.

Two HDMI outputs let you send video to the display and audio to an older receiver separately, with a coaxial digital output as well. It decodes Dolby TrueHD and DTS 7.1 and passes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X as bitstreams, plays SACD and DSD files, and carries Hi-Res Audio certification. A front USB port and Ethernet handle media files and updates. The player is 320 x 45 x 217 mm, weighs 1.4 kg and draws 15 W; an HDMI cable is included. Region BD A / DVD 1.
