The UTX-B40 is the beltpack transmitter of Sony's UWP-D wireless family, the workhorse for miking a presenter, interviewer, or actor who needs to move freely. It ships with the ECM-V1BMP omnidirectional lavalier on a locking 3.5 mm connector, so the capsule stays seated no matter how the talent moves. Sony's Digital Audio Processing rides on proven analog UHF transmission to reproduce transients and consonants cleanly, and a high-visibility OLED keeps frequency, level, and battery status readable in bright sun or a dark venue.

NFC SYNC pairs the pack to a matching URX receiver with a single tap, so channel setup is fast and secure even in a crowded RF environment. Two AA batteries deliver roughly eight hours of runtime for full shoot days. Along with the lavalier, the box includes a windscreen, a mic clip, and a belt clip.
