Sennheiser MKE platinum-4-3-K Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone

The MKE Platinum is a subminiature omnidirectional back-electret lavalier built to be worn and not seen. The capsule is 4.8 mm across and weighs about a gram, which is the difference between a mic that hides in a hairline or under a lapel and one that reads on camera. It runs 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz within 3 dB and takes 140 dB SPL before 1% distortion, so a stage voice at close range does not overload it, and the capsule is treated to resist sweat, which is what usually kills a body-worn mic on a run of shows.

This is the -4-3-K: a beige unit, terminated in a 3-pin LEMO plug for Sennheiser SK 50, SK 250, and SK 5012 bodypack transmitters. Sensitivity is 6.3 mV/Pa. Two frequency caps ship in the box, the short MZC 2-1 and the long MZC 2-2, and swapping them tilts the response, which is how you tune presence for a musical versus a lecture without touching the console. Note that the beige finish and the LEMO plug are both part of this SKU: if your transmitters take a different connector, tell us and we will point you at the right variant.
