Sennheiser e965 Microphone
The e965 is Sennheiser's flagship handheld vocal condenser, a large dual-diaphragm, externally polarized capsule that captures the detail, air, and natural top end a dynamic cannot reach. A switch selects between cardioid and super-cardioid patterns, letting you tighten rejection for a loud stage or open up for a more natural room.
A switchable low-cut filter tames proximity boom and stage rumble, while a -10 dB pre-attenuation pad lets it take 152 dB peaks from the most powerful singers. It runs on 48V phantom power and feeds a 3-pin XLR; frequency response is 40 to 20,000 Hz with a maximum SPL of 142 dB before the pad.
