The sE8 omni is the omnidirectional version of sE's hand-crafted 1/2 inch true condenser. An omni capsule has no proximity effect and no off-axis colouration, which is why it is the pattern of choice for spaced-pair room recording, orchestral and choral work, and any drum overhead where you want the kit and the room in the same take.

Max SPL runs to 161 dB with both pads in and self-noise is 15 dB. Switchable 10 and 20 dB attenuation and an 80 or 160 Hz low-cut are on the body, and the capsule unscrews so the mic can be converted. This listing is the factory-matched pair.
