sE Electronics DM2 TNT Switchable Inline Active Preamp
The DM2 TNT is the DM1 with a choice. A switch selects 15 or 30 dB of gain, so the same device can lift a passive ribbon that needs everything it can get, or add a modest boost to a dynamic without pushing the console preamp into the mud. Output noise is 1 microvolt at 15 dB and 6.6 at 30 dB.
Like the DM1 it runs on 48 V phantom, drawing 3.1 mA, and passes 10 Hz to 120 kHz at -0.3 dB. It sits inline between the microphone and the cable in a 19 mm barrel with male and female XLR, and weighs 80 g.
