Sachtler System FSB 4 FT GS

The 0396 is Sachtler's FSB 4 FT GS package, built around the FSB 4 fluid head on carbon fibre 2-stage legs with a ground spreader. It carries 0 kg to 4 kg (0 lb to 8.82 lb) on a 75 mm bowl. Balance and damping are stepped rather than continuous: 5 counterbalance steps + 0 and 3 + 0 horizontal and vertical grades of drag on each axis, so a rig can be matched exactly and then repeated on the next shoot. Tilt runs 90° to -70° with 12 cm (4.72 in) of travel to find the balance point.

Set up it works between 57 cm to 174 cm (22.44 in to 68.5 in), and folds to 84 cm (33.07 in) for transport. The complete system weighs 6.1 kg (13.45 lb). Sachtler rates the head from -40°C to 60°C (-40 °F to 140 °F), so the fluid does not thicken in the cold.
