Sachtler System FSB 4 FT MS

The 0395 is Sachtler's FSB 4 FT MS package, built around the FSB 4 fluid head on carbon fibre 2-stage legs with a mid-level spreader. It carries 0 kg to 4 kg (0 lb to 8.82 lb) on a 75 mm bowl. Balance and damping are stepped rather than continuous: 5 counterbalance steps + 0 and 3 + 0 horizontal and vertical grades of drag on each axis, so a rig can be matched exactly and then repeated on the next shoot. Tilt runs 90° to -70° with 12 cm (4.72 in) of travel to find the balance point.

Set up it works between 78 cm to 173 cm (30.71 in to 68.11 in), and folds to 85 cm (33.46 in) for transport. The complete system weighs 5.8 kg (12.79 lb). Sachtler rates the head from -40°C to 60°C (-40 °F to 140 °F), so the fluid does not thicken in the cold.
