Sachtler System FSB 6 75/2 AL HD GS Mk II

The 0481HD is Sachtler's FSB 6 75/2 AL HD GS Mk II package, built around the FSB 6 fluid head on aluminium 2-stage legs. It carries 0 kg to 8 kg (0 lb to 17.64 lb) on a 75 mm bowl with integrated flat base. Balance and damping are stepped rather than continuous: 15 + 0 counterbalance steps and 3 + 0 drag settings on each axis, so a rig can be matched exactly and then repeated on the next shoot. Tilt runs +90° to -70°, and the camera sits on a sideload plate with 12 cm (4.72 in) of travel to find the balance point.

Set up it works between 62 cm to 170 cm (24.41 in to 66.93 in), and folds to 89 cm (35.04 in) for transport. The complete system weighs 6.2 kg (13.67 lb). Levelling is by a Prism Bubble. Sachtler rates the head from -40°C to 60°C (-40 °F to 140 °F), so the fluid does not thicken in the cold.
