Roland R-07 High-Resolution Handheld Audio Recorder
The R-07 records to WAV at 44.1, 48, 88.2, or 96 kHz in 16 or 24 bits, or to MP3 from 64 up to 320 kbps when file size matters more than headroom. A built-in stereo microphone handles rehearsals, interviews, and room recordings straight out of the pocket, and a stereo mini MIC/AUX input with plug-in power takes an external capsule or a line feed from a board.
Bluetooth 4.0 is the part that changes how you use it: the recorder can be started, stopped, and level-checked from a phone, and up to four units can be controlled from the same app, which is how you cover a stage or a lecture hall without walking to each one. Qualcomm aptX low latency is supported for monitoring. Recordings land on a microSD or SDHC card. Two AA alkaline cells run it for about 15 hours, and the body is 61 x 103 x 26 mm at 150 g with batteries fitted.
