Rode RØDE Micro Boompole

The RODE Micro Boompole is a precision-balanced three-section pole that trades outright reach for portability, extending to about 2 metres and weighing just under 400 grams. An anodised aluminium build and an ergonomic grip make it easy to hold overhead for the length of a shot, and a 3/8-inch thread at the tip accepts a shock mount or camera microphone.

Its light weight and short collapsed length pair especially well with RODE's VideoMic range, letting a solo shooter lift an on-camera mic off the hot shoe and out over the subject for cleaner dialogue. Intuitive twist locks set each section quickly, and the pole folds down to roughly 84 centimetres for travel.
