RDL HD-PA35A Constant-Voltage Version of the HD-PA35 Single-Zone Power Amplifier

The RDL HD-PA35A is the constant-voltage version of the HD-PA35 single-zone power amplifier, built to feed 70 volt and 100 volt distributed speaker lines from a line-level program source. An unbalanced stereo summing input on RCA jacks sums the source to mono, and a high-efficiency Class D stage delivers 35 watts to a selectable 25 V, 70 V or 100 V bus. Class D efficiency lets it produce output levels normally expected from amplifiers with a much higher power rating while staying cool and compact.

An onboard analog compressor sets its threshold just below rated output and automatically adjusts attack and release, riding out input overloads up to 20 dB without the clipping that plagues digitally limited Class D amps. The amplifier ships with a 100 to 240 VAC power supply that feeds 24 Vdc to the chassis, in a half-rack chassis.
